BALUCHI TWIST II.

Loosely inspired by an antique Baluchi rug from western Afghanistan, this piece speaks a contemporary language. Ornaments and floral motifs emerge from the darker central field. They attract with their bright colors, which, thanks to the low hair, show a fascinating play of subtle reflections in the light. Together they create a unique harmony that only natural dyes such as rubia, safflower or indigo can conjure up. A technique proven over centuries and demonstrated by the skilful women in the north of Afghanistan is combined here with a timeless design.

CARE

Turn the rug 180˚ once in a while. In this way, the load to which the hand-knotted piece is exposed is better distributed. You can easily vacuum the rug or gently wipe the dust in the direction of the pile with a damp sponge. We do not recommend washing in the washing machine! Normal stains can be treated with natural soap and lukewarm water (local cleaning). For more “stubborn” stains, it is advisable to use professional services.
